How do I change rooms?
To the right of the Café window there are two tabs, "Users" and "Rooms". Select the rooms tab and double click the name of the room you want to move to (alternately, highlight the room with the mouse, then click "Enter"). The users tab will list the people in the room you are in.

Can I follow conversations in more than one room?
No. You will only see what is in the room you are in while you are there. If you move to another room you will pick up that conversation and leave the other behind.

Can I create my own room?
Yes. On the rooms menu click "New". Give the room a name, and click OK. By default all rooms are private, and you will need to enter (and confirm) a password for access. Uncheck the "private room" option for a public room which anyone can enter without a password. All rooms created in this manner are temporary and will automatically close after a period of inactivity.

What are private messages?
Private messages are one-to-one chats with individuals in the Café. To send someone a private message, double click their name in the users list, type your message in the pop-up window and hit send. If someone sends you a private message it will appear in a shaded box in the main message window. To reply, click on the message to open a window. You can carry on a private message conversation with someone even if you are in different rooms.
